According to leaked screenshots provided by Reddit user megamanexe4, it looks like Destiny may be getting a second social space located in the Reef when the House of Wolves expansion drops sometime this spring.
Currently the Reef is barren with the exception of a few cutscenes that take place during the main campaign. It’s certainly within the realm of possibility that an expansion, which is said to involve the Queen of the Reef, would finally add some more content there. However with Destiny, we’ve seen some leaks turn out to be true, and others turn out to be fake. We’ll have to wait and see to know for sure.
This certainly isn’t the only information that we’ve seen leak out about House of Wolves. Included in that same Reddit post are leaked images for a new story mission (currently just a place holder) and a level 28 strike called Belly of the Beast which is described as follows: “A Fallen Wolfship holding an infamous Walker has touched down in the Ocean of Storms. Breach the Ketch and see to this walker’s end.” Both are currently situated on the Moon.
Finally, there is also information on a new PvP mode called Inferno. This one is currently already in the Grimoire, lending it a little more credibility. Here’s the description of Inferno according to the grimoire:
A modified variant of multiple Crucible match types, Inferno tests your Light against the darkest of conditions.
Darkness prevails, leaving Guardians to rely on their weaponry and combat skills alone. The enemy can be found solely by sight and sound. Rely on your teammates and keen tracking to stalk your enemies and shut them down.
No trackers. Simplified scoring. True skill put to the ultimate test.
If you’re pining for more social spaces, more strikes, and a more barebones style of play in the crucible, then hope that the rumors are true and that they make an appearance when House of Wolves is released later this spring. You can check out all the leaked images from the Reddit post below.
