Inferno

Leading the charge for everyone’s favorite yellow, chained kunai wielding ninja (oddly specific right?) is the Inferno variation. This variation builds upon the base move set of Scorpion in Mortal Kombat X, but adds in a little something special: demons. Scorpion now has the ability to summon demons in the middle of battle in order to attack his enemies and open them up to an onslaught.

Teleport: Down, Back, X

Spear: Back, Forward, Square

Minion: Grab Down, Back, Circle

Minion Charge: Down, Back, Square

Minion Drop: Down, Back, Triangle

Ninjutsu

mortal kombat scorpion

Scorpion’s Ninjutsu variation swaps out demons for a pair of powerful blades. while this particular variation doesn’t add any new special moves, it has no qualms with removing the ones granted by the other variations. What Scorpion now lacks in ability variety, he makes up for in increased range for his physical attacks. Perfect for fighting against faster, elusive opponents.

Teleport: Down, Back, X

Spear: Back, Forward, Square

Minion Grab: Down, Back, Circle

Hellfire

Mortal Kombat X scorpion

If you couldn’t guess by its namesake, this variation gives Scorpion dominion over the flames of the underworld. Use long range attacks to burn your opponents, or give yourself a fire aura to teach a dangerous lesson to those who get to close.

Teleport: Down, Back, X

Spear: Back, Forward, Square

Takedown: Back, Forward, Circle

Fire Ball: Down, Back, Square

Hell Fire: Down, Back, Triangle

Flame Aura: Down, Back, Circle

X-Ray and Finishers

Fatalities

  1. (Mid-range) Down, Back, Forward, Triangle
  2. (Mid-range) Down, Back, Forward, Up

Brutalities

  1. Back, Forward + Square

X-Ray (L2+R2 with full meter)

Scorpion’s X-Ray attack is triggered by him launching himself towards the mid-section of his opponent. It can be blocked pretty easily so chain it into a combo or wait until your opponent is performing an attack before going for this neck breaking move.
