Harley Quinn is in a bit of a weird spot when Batman: Arkham Knight hits stores. In the year since Arkham City, she’s now in control of Joker’s gang now that the Clown is six feet under. Crime may have gone down significantly since his death, but she’s still doing what she can to raise hell for the people of Gotham in honor of dear old Mistah J. When Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight come into town claiming they can kill Batman, she joins up with them and Two-Face and Penguin’s forces to cause total anarchy. And for the first time in the series, you’ll be able to play as her. Provided you pre-order, of course. It hasn’t been said how much her mission pack will cost separately, but it’s more than likely going to be $10.
Today, Rocksteady released a trailer showing off some of Harley Quinn’s moves in her story mission pack. She controls sort of like Catwoman, which is to say gracefully, only she has a bat. And man, does she know how to use it. You’d think that she was picking up some lessons from that dude with the bat in The Raid 2. Harley also has what’s apparently a “Rage of the Gods” mode that allows her to deal super damage and turns the screen pink, and it looks like she’ll be facing off against Nightwing as well. He may have his escrima sticks, but she’s got exploding Jack in the Boxes and that bat, so it may all even out.
You’ll be able to find out for yourself when Batman: Arkham Knight launches on the Xbone, PS4, and PC on June 23.
