Bethesda really knocked it out of the park this past Sunday during their first E3 press conference. From the announcements and reveals of a few of their new games, to the immediate release of their first free to play mobile gaming app, Fallout Shelter.
“We’re very pleased. Fallout Shelter is doing amazingly well, with no real buildup,” said Bethesda’s Vice President of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, in an interview with GamesBeat.
Within only five days of the title’s release, it has become one of the most downloaded titles on the iTunes app store and has even already bumped Candy Crush Saga down the chart slightly.
While the actual profits that the title is making are currently unknown to everyone but Bethesda, Gamesindustry.biz has pointed out that Candy Crush Saga was making approximately $2 million a day in the first quarter of 2015, so, in short, Fallout Shelter is making bank.
Fallout Shelter can be downloaded right now for free on the app store for the iPhone 5, iPad 3, or iPad mini 2.
