Get a Look at Fallout 4 Reimagined as a 2-D Isometric Game

Fallout loses a dimension.

Fallout 4 has gotten an isometric makeover thanks to the dev team behind STASIS. The developers are celebrating the release of their new point-and-click, sci-fi, horror adventure game by redesigning the Fallout title as a 2-D isometric game.

The first shots showcase a Pip-Boy-style HUD and an explorer taking on a giant Rad Scorpion with the help of an unmistakable VATS system. In the second scene, our protagonist awkwardly haggles with a supermutant trying to trade him human meat.

The album’s creator attributes the work to Fallout and its influence on their game, noting that Fallout composer Mark Morgan has joined the STASIS team:

“To celebrate the release of STASIS I wanted to do something special! Fallout was a HUGE influence on STASIS, even with Mark Morgan signing on to do the games beautiful soundtrack!”

As for Bethesda, they’ve just finished recording Fallout 4‘s over 111,000 lines, more dialogue lines than in Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined. The company also recently announced a Fallout Monopoly game, set to hit shelves this November.

You can check out the newly released STASIS on Steam, while Fallout 4 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC Nov. 10, 2015.
