Hearts of Stone features a new adventure spanning over 10 hours with new characters, monsters, and romances. Last week during PAX, CD Projekt teased something special was coming for Gwent, which is the card game set in the Witcher universe.

The special, limited boxed edition of The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone will be available worldwide at select retailers for $19.99. In addition to a download code for the game itself, each edition will feature two crafted decks of real Gwent cards, and will come with a manual explaining the rules of the game. The two sets of cards included, are Monsters and Scoia’tael (an elvish band of rogues from the game). The addictive card game, was a surprising hit with fans, with its simple rules that still allowed for a degree of tactical planning. Gwent seemed like a sure hit for a physical release, and now that has come to fruition.

CD Projeckt Red has also launched an initiative for owners of the digital Expansion Pass to still be able to claim the Gwent cards, in order to wage tactical card battles with friends.

There’s no word yet on which retailers will be carrying the special version of Hearts of Stone, however as stated CD Projekt Red did say it would see a worldwide release. The second and even larger expansion for The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, is set to arrive sometime in spring of 2016.This next expansion will add a brand new region of Toussaint to the game.

Recently CD Projekt Red wrote an open letter thanking players for six million copies sold. A teaser trailer was also released for Hearts of Stone today.

Are you a fan of Gwent, and want to be able to play the game with tactical brilliance wherever you go? Let us know in the comments.
