Nolan North Interview Offers Insight into Uncharted Development: “It Was Heart and Love”

What a swell guy.

A new Nolan North interview offers much insight into Uncharted’s development and, more specifically, the character that is Nathan Drake. In the interview, North goes over how unexpected Uncharted’s success has been, the writing process and collaboration between voice actors and Amy Henning, and his feelings on his personal luck with the industry and what games mean for the world.

He’s incredibly thankful to the series and what it’s done for his career and abilities as an actor. In the interview, North gives huge credit to Amy Henning for any praise Uncharted gets. It was, according to him, through her collaboration with the voice actors, knowing how to give them their voices, and solid writing that the series has held up as much as it has. Amy Henning has since left Naughty Dog as their Creative Director to join Visceral Games.

“What’s most rewarding for me, at this point in my life, is to know that what we created in this Nathan Drake Collection changed people’s lives. Made lives better.”

It includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Recently, a trailer for the game was released: ‘Life of a Thief.’ The demo for the game will release on September 29, and Taco Bell is currently running a giveaway with a chance to win it and a golden PS4.
