Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a ton of missions. So many in fact that they decided to hide a bunch in another time period. As you progress through the game, you will unlock a rift that appears on The Thames at its eastern edge. Enter this rift and you will be transported to London in the year 1916.
One of the missions within this alternate timeline has you hunt down The Magpie, a spy with information on a mysterious brotherhood of assassins. He is dangerous to you and everything you hold dear. Winston Churchill is aware of this and tells you where you can go to put an end to this villain.
Head on over to the Tower of London to locate his cell. You must be careful since there are a lot of guards roaming around with strict instructions to shoot on sight, so although you can fight your way through, if you so choose, you’ll want to rely on stealth just to make your life much easier.
When you reach the cell, it will be empty. Head over to the large square to locate Magpie (who is in disguise) as he tries to escape. The optional objective here is to get the guards to do your dirty work for you. Naturally, they have no reason to attack someone who is dressed as one of their own, so you’ll have to provide a little push.
Equip your Hallucinogenic Darts and shoot the guards near Magpie to get them to shoot him dead. Once that’s done, you’re free to go. There are a lot of collectibles in the area, so I suggest you take the time to grab them up before fleeing the area.
Keep an eye out for searchlights as you move around. When spotted, you will instantly be shot by a sniper. It doesn’t do enough damage to kill you right away but it can be very annoying, as well as loud. Luckily, they’re slow, so keep your wits about you and you’ll be fine.
