It’s been a couple of weeks since Destiny unveiled Silver, the currency of the game’s new microtransaction market. Anyone interested in some of Bungie’s cosmetic upgrades can hawk out real-world cash for a bundle of Silver, and by the looks of PSN’s top add-on purchases, that’s exactly what a ton of players are doing.
Destiny’s Silver packages are topping the PSN Top Add-Ons list, showing that despite player hesitaion towards the in-game purchases, there’s still a hell of a lot of microtransactioning going around. The new Halloween emotes and Treasures of the Lost up for sale probably didn’t help stem the purchase tide either.
The majority of players are opting for the medium Silver bundle, offering 1100 Silver for $9.99. Average emotes costs 200 Silver, while “legendary” emotes going for 500. The smallest package, 500 Silver for $4.99, is least popular, ranking number five on the add-on list.
Are you among the crowds of Silver buyers? Which emotes were worthy of your dollars? Let us know in the comments, and for more, check out some of today’s top stories below.
